On the heels of an announcement to launch fireworks around the Las Vegas Strip weekly this June and July in celebration of the nation’s 250th anniversary, a downtown property is following suit with the return of its own weekly show.
The Plaza in downtown Las Vegas will launch fireworks every Friday from June 4 to Sept. 4 at 9:10 p.m. in its “Welcome to the Weekend Summer Friday Fireworks Shows.”
This marks the third year for the Plaza’s show, inspired by Disneyland.
Each weekend’s fireworks show will begin with a rooftop pool party starting at 7 p.m., featuring the best view, as well as the casino’s food truck and cocktails. The party is kicked off by a special guest who ignites the TNT.
This year, guests can book a TNT Ignitor VIP Experience, which includes a cabana for eight, bottle service, a live announcement, commemorative photo and custom marquee sign. Packages range from $800 to $1,250 and can be booked on the Plaza’s website.
In a media statement, CEO Jonathan Jossel said it’s become “an iconic” part of summertime in Las Vegas.
For the shows, a portion of Main Street in front of the Plaza will be closed to vehicles. Of course, each display is weather permitting.
