KJ’s, the restaurant replacing The Pepper Club at The English Hotel in downtown Las Vegas, is now open. The Pepper Club, launched in 2022 by celebrated chef Todd English in his eponymous property on South Main Street, shuttered after service on Dec. 20.
KJ’s serves lunch, two happy hours, dinner and weekend brunch. The menu features items such as a Caprese panino, wild mushroom tortellini and steak frites at lunch; a Caesar salad, shrimp corn dog lollipops and fried chicken sliders at happy hour (4 to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 9 p.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays); and a seafood tower, a half chicken with herbed risotto and a 10-ounce Allen Brothers filet at dinner.
Brunch (10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays) runs to buttermilk biscuits, a kale salad, crème brûlée French toast, a vegetarian frittata, and steak and eggs.
The menu also offers wine, cocktails and desserts, including croissant bread pudding with spiced rum glaze.
KJ’s, 921 S. Main St., takes its name from owner Kevin Jeffers. Visit kjslv.com.
