For nearly 40 years, international musical stalwarts Gipsy Kings have been taking their sonically adventurous show on the road — introducing audiences to the intersectional joys of rumba, flamenco, folk, rock and sundry hip-centric sounds.
The success of the mission speaks for itself in the form of Grammys, millions of records sold, spots on soundtracks like The Big Lebowski and now even a recent eponymous documentary about the band‘s musical journey. And in another way of looking back to look forward, the band are touring behind new album Historia, an autobiographical portrait of the band’s life as musical nomads.
8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, Hard Rock Live, 6050 Universal Blvd., entertainment.hardrock.com, $72-$120.
