The state Health Department today cleared Black Rock Pizza in Kailua-Kona to reopen after a follow-up inspection.
Health officials shuttered the pizzeria at Coconut Marketplace on Alii Drive on July 8 with a red placard due to an active rodent infestation. The department said the food establishment had taken all required corrective actions, and was given a green placard.
The department required the following corrective actions:
>> Discard all contaminated food products;
>> Have a professional pest control operator service the establishment and submit the service report to the DOH;
>> Seal all holes in the walls and ceilings; and
