Visit Hemenway Park on Sunday from 9 a.m. to noon and learn about the Nevada state mammal with the Nevada Department of Wildlife. Learn all about the behavior and conservation needs of the Desert Bighorn Sheep, as well as the history of the local herd at the park (401 Ville Dr., Boulder City). ‘Heated Rivalry’ Comedy Show
What do comedians and clowns have to do with “Heated Rivalry”? Find out during the “ ‘Heated Rivalry’ Comedy Show.” The interactive show, produced by comedians Erin Cholakian and Madison Teresa, also promises “fun surprise giveaways and treats” as well as a chance to “hang with a community of people who love” the smash hit LGBTQ hockey series. ‘Around the Table: Stories of Nevada Foodways’
The diversity and meaning of the state’s family food traditions will be on display as part of “Around the Table: Stories of Nevada Foodways.” The exhibition features stories about Nevadans and what they eat as told through descriptive illustrated recipe cards and zines. Nevada Humanities will host a reception 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at 1017 S. First St. The reception as well as the exhibition, open through Aug. 26, are free and open to the public.

History of Walking Box Ranch
From 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday, the Nevada State Museum, 309 S. Valley View Blvd., is presenting Common Threads: The History of Walking Box Ranch, an exploration of the history of the ranch near Searchlight and its connection to what are now Avi Kwa Ame National Monument lands. The presentation, led by Paula Jacoby-Garrett, administrative director of The Friends of Avi Kwa Ame National Monument, draws on oral histories, historic artifacts and preservation efforts. Chef collab
Beginning 7 p.m. Thursday, chef James Trees, his corporate executive chef Sean O’Hara and executive pastry chef Jake Yergensen are joining with chef Tyler Vorce of Lilli to present a dinner at Trees’ Bar Boheme, 1401 S. Main St. The dinner features seven courses and pours of McPrice Myers Wines from Paso Robles, on California’s Central Coast.
