On Saturday evening, HFD also airlifted a lost hiker off the Mount Kaala Trail in Waianae at about 5:45 p.m. The man reportedly got lost and could not find his way off the trail.
HFD advises hikers to read and obey posted warning signs, and stay on marked trails, noting that most accidents happen when adventurers leave the established trail.
