Charlotte Cornfield released her sixth album, Hurts Like Hell, earlier this year via Merge Records. The album received positive reviews from fans and critics, appeared on several mid-year best-of lists from SPIN, UPROXX, Exclaim!, and NPR Music, and was shortlisted for the prestigious Canadian Polaris Music Prize.
The album marks Cornfield’s first release since the birth of her daughter in 2023, exploring themes of personal growth, renewal, and love through life’s challenges. Critics have praised its candid songwriting, subtle humor, and emotional depth. NPR Music’s Ann Powers described the songs as “just the realest, most unassumingly resonant songs I’ve heard this year.”
On December 4, 2026, Cornfield will join Friendship for a North American co-headlining tour, with the two acts scheduled to perform at Rec Room in Buffalo, NY.
