Enzo Mugisha scored the go-ahead goal early in the second half, and Thornton Academy remained unbeaten by rallying for a 2-1 win over Cheverus in a Class A South boys soccer match Wednesday in Portland.
Cheverus (3-3) grabbed the lead less than five minutes into the game when Jake Libby connected with a free kick from about 25 yards.
Kyle Nicoletti tied it midway through the first half, assisted by Edoardo De Mozzi.
Matthias Sunderland got an assist on the winning goal.
Thornton is now 4-0-1.
WESTBROOK 2, FALMOUTH 1: Justin Filiatrault and Kevin Nazareno scored unassisted goals to help the Blue Blazes (3-1) defeat the Navigators (2-4) at Westbrook.
Conor Kirkham countered for Falmouth.
Ahmed Al Obaidi stopped 11 shots for Westbrook. Wyatt Binnette made nine saves for Falmouth.
MARSHWOOD 2, NOBLE 0: Drake Anderson set up a first-half goal by Connor Long, then scored off a corner kick in the second half as the Hawks (3-3) beat the Knights (2-3-1) in South Berwick
Finn Parker assisted on Anderson’s goal. Marshwood keeper Jack Eardley made six saves.

SOUTH PORTLAND/WESTBROOK 6, DEERING/PORTLAND 1: Emily Lacasse and Lucy Wetzel both netted two goals, Mia Janoplis contributed a goal and two assists, and the Blazin’ Riots (1-6) earned their first win of the season by defeating Deering/Portland (0-6) in South Portland.
Vivian Drew scored for the visitors in the fourth quarter.
BIDDEFORD 1, THORNTON ACADEMY 0: Rachel Lagasse scored with an assist from Mia Mariello late in the first overtime to give the Tigers (6-0) a victory against the Golden Trojans (4-2) at Biddeford.
Madelyn Burton made four saves for Biddeford, the No. 3 team in the Varsity Maine Top 10. Aubree Frager finished with nine saves for 10th-ranked Thornton.
