Honolulu police this morning arrested a 12-year-old boy on suspicion of terroristic threatening after he allegedly brandished a firearm to a girl in Ewa Beach.
Police said the incident occurred at about 7:40 a.m. today near a business on Fort Weaver Road, and that the boy allegedly approached a 13-year-old girl and threatened to shoot her brother.
The girl later reported the incident at school, and school staff subsequently recovered a firearm from the boy’s backpack and notified police.
Police also arrested the boy on an alleged firearm offense.
No injuries were reported and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
