Honolulu firefighters extinguished a fire at Kiki’s Tiki Bar in Waikiki on Tuesday night.
All occupants inside evacuated safely, according to the Honolulu Fire Department, and no injuries were reported.
HFD said it received a 911 call at 7:40 p.m. for the fire near 314 Lewers St., which is next door to Kiki’s Tiki Bar, a second-floor nightclub. The business was closed at the time of the fire.
Twenty-two units with 45 personnel responded, with the first arriving in seven minutes. Upon arrival, firefighters found black smoke venting from the roof of the two-story commercial building. HFD brought the fire under control at 8:26 p.m. and extinguished it at 9:09 p.m.
An investigation is underway to determine the fire’s origin and cause, along with estimated damage.
