The Hard Rock Cafe has launched its “Hard Rock Rising” competition among bands near and far. This is a convincing reason to traipse to the Las Vegas Strip to catch some solid live musicianship.
This week, Chalmer, Juadines and Mimi & The Rivieras opened the event, with Mimi’s band prevailing and advancing to the finals.
Mojo Juju, Chemical Tribe and Subsanity are the stacked lineup on Sept. 16.
Hard Rock International and Coca-Cola are partnering in the contest. A total of 34 countries and 64 Hard Rock Cafes are participating. The format is a series of live performances weekly at the Hard Rock Cafe. The grand prize includes a Coke Studio recording session, $10,000 and a Hard Rock Orlando performance.
