We’ve seen Christina Shaw crush it late at night in lounges. Now she’s headlining an afternoon gig in a showroom.
The take-no-prisoners performer is starring in “The Eras of Taylor — Christina’s Version” at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Orleans Showroom. The 90-minute production features Shaw singing 24 Swift numbers with a dozen costume changes.
Swift is a passion project for Shaw, who has produced and written this show and created all the tracks and visuals.
She brings a killer backing band of Ryan Harrison on drums, Denny Hechevarria on bass, Brian Triola on keys and Matt Bowman on guitar. Four backing dancers are in the mix. And look for an appearance from These Guys Worldwide vocalist Thomas Nanthavongdouangsy (a surname we can get behind).
Over her 15-year Las Vegas career, Shaw has also paid tribute to Britney Spears, Faith Hill and Christina Aguilera. She says the “Eras” show is designed to “emulate the quality and energy of Taylor’s tour, showcasing her dedication to honoring her legacy.”
