The new and — we anticipate — markedly improved XS Nightclub is reopening with four nights of superstar headlining DJs beginning Nov. 5.
Rufus Du Sol’s DJ set opens the reopening Nov. 5. The Chainsmokers are Nov. 6, Calvin Harris Nov. 7 and Diplo B2B Hugel on Nov. 8.
XS’s return marks 17 years as a premiere Strip nightlife destination. Though still in fine condition, the club shut down on Aug. 1 for its first-ever remodeling project.
In the interim, all shows are been staged at Encore Beach Club.
XS has been auditioning bartenders and servers (through Aug. 27), in the run-up to the reopening. Expect the new club to reopen as a non-union venue.
The headliners, in statements, are eager to unlock XS in the fall.
“We’ve had some of our favorite nights at XS over the years, and Wynn has been such an important part of our journey,” The Chainsmokers said. “There’s a lot of history between us, and we’ve seen XS evolve firsthand. It’s exciting to be part of this next chapter and to see a place that’s been such an important part of our story enter a new era.”
“I’ve played some incredible nights at XS, and it’s always been one of my favorite places to play in Las Vegas,” Harris said. “I’m excited to come back for the reopening and be part of what Wynn is doing with the next chapter of the club.”
“XS feels like home to me, it’s probably the place I’ve played the most times ever,” Diplo said. “I can’t wait to see what they have in store for the new era. Excited to get back in there.”
“Seeing XS evolve and take on a new identity is exciting, especially knowing how much the environment can influence the way the music connects with the crowd,” Hugel said. “I’m looking forward to experiencing the transformation firsthand, taking in the atmosphere, and seeing where the music takes us.”
Newly installed Wynn Nightlife VP Adam Norotsky said, “XS has always represented the intersection of exceptional entertainment, design, and hospitality, and this new era is an opportunity to build upon that legacy.”
Norotsky, moving over from an executive post at Delilah, continued, “As we look toward reopening weekend, our goal is to create the next evolution of XS while preserving the energy and experience that have made it such an iconic nightlife destination.”
He steps in for former Wynn Nightlife Senior Vice President Ryan Jones. Wynn officials confirmed in April that Jones was out of the company.
Of the “completely reimagined” XS, Wynn officials state, “The opening weekend lineup reunites artists whose longtime residencies and performances have helped define XS and Wynn Nightlife over the past 17 years, making their return a fitting tribute to the venue’s enduring legacy as a cornerstone of Las Vegas nightlife.”
