The sun won’t set on Stoney’s in Las Vegas, despite the new club’s location.
Stoney’s Sunset will open Aug. 15 at Sunset Station, according to a Thursday announcement. This is the third Stoney’s outpost/hitching post in the valley.
Stoney’s Rockin’ Country has operated at Town Square since November 2021 and is leased through February. Stoney’s North Forty is operating at Santa Fe Station, making the Sunset Station venue the second partnership between the club and Station Casinos.
From Stoney’s exec Paul Lowden Jr., a member of the iconic Las Vegas hospitality family that owns the brand: “This marks an exciting next step in our continued partnership, and we look forward to bringing our signature experience to even more guests in this exceptional setting.”
The 19,000-square-foot performance venue will offer a mechanical bull, multiple VIP platforms, and boxes on the dance floor and mezzanine levels “perfect for group celebrations.”
Stoney’s helps fill the void for live entertainment left when Club Madrid closed in July 2024. Sunset Station continues to showcase headliners at Sunset Amphitheater and Side Lawn. The remodeled Gaudi Bar hosts DJs, and occasional Bonkerz Comedy Club shows are staged in an upstairs banquet room.
The Lowdens also own Vic’s Las Vegas restaurant and jazz club in Symphony Park. That jazz destination and the Stoney’s hoedown have little in common, aside from being very cool hangs.
