The Hancock County Sheriff’s Department says it is investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash in Hancock.
Route 182 in Hancock was closed due to the crash, the sheriff’s office said in an advisory around 5:45 p.m, and the closure was also causing delays on Route 1.
The Hancock Fire Department said in a social media post that the road was reopened as of 6:50 p.m. The sheriff’s office had directed motorists traveling north from Hancock to use Route 200 through Sullivan during the closure.
The sheriff’s office did not provide additional details on the crash in its advisory.
