Master Kim’s Wagyu House opens in Palace Station near Las Vegas Strip

Palace Station is getting a Master’s in Korean barbecue.

Master Kim’s Wagyu House is opening Sunday at the Station Casinos property, according to the casino website. Master Kim’s Wagyu House is a sibling to the trio of Master Kim’s Korean BBQs in Las Vegas, and the restaurant initially bore that name when word emerged a year ago that it would replace Tailgate Social at Palace Station.

All-you-can-enjoy

The new Master Kim’s encompasses an expanse of tabletop grills where people sit and cook their own proteins and vegetables. All-you-can-enjoy barbecue encompasses four tiers.

The premium tier features cuts of Japanese, Australian and American wagyu; USDA Prime grade and Certified Black Angus beef; and pork, lamb, poultry and seafood, plus extras for the grill like marinated portobello, sweet potato and buttered corn.

The signature tier encompasses the same proteins as the premium tier but with some different or additional cuts, among them lamb chops, Ibérico pork belly and pork chop, and American wagyu ribeye, A5 wagyu rib cap and chef’s choice of A5 cut, as well as extras for the grill. A vegan tier and a late-night tier (served 10 p.m. to 3 a.m.) with fewer proteins and grill extras round out the AYCE.

More than three dozen sides are variously offered with the premium, signature and late-night menus, ranging from spicy beef tofu soup, a cilantro salad and lettuce wraps to bibimbap, a kimchi pancake and dumplings fried in wagyu tallow.

Set meals

Master Kim’s Palace Station menu also offers three barbecue prix fixe meals, like a premium set with a choice of tofu soup, soybean paste soup or kimchi stew; choice of cold noodles, spicy noodles, hot beef noodle soup or pasta carbonara; two wagyu nigiri; three sides; and five proteins, including Ibérico pork chop and American wagyu picanha (top sirloin cap).

Eight jungsik (Korean table sets) run to beef short rib soup with banchan small sides, a spicy chicken box meal, a spicy pork box meal, L.A. kalbi with cold or spicy noodles, and more.

Master Kim’s Wagyu House is open from 11:30 a.m. to 3 a.m. daily. The four AYCE tiers range from $28.95 to $69, with a maximum of five meats and 10 sides per round of ordering and a 90-minute dining limit per table. Visit stationcasinos.com.
