Gene Simmons is in makeup mode.
The founding member of the famed rock band Kiss has rescheduled his appearance at the Legends of Rock Expo, set for Sept. 25-27 at the Westgate. The new dates are May 14-16.
Simmons has not yet responded to requests for comment through his reps. Event officials said “a major scheduling conflict” has forced the move. Simmons is still scheduled to participate in the second Kiss Kruise: Land-locked in Vegas from Nov. 13-15 at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. The full schedule for that festival, which is to include a tribute to the late Ace Frehley, was released Wednesday.
From a statement by a Legends of Rock spokesperson: “We have made the difficult decision to reschedule the Gene Simmons Legends of Rock Expo. While we know this change may be disappointing, the additional time will allow us to make the Rock Experience even bigger and better, while fine-tuning an incredible celebrity lineup.”
The event is billed as a series of concerts, autograph sessions, photo ops and panel discussions. Stewart Copeland of The Police, guitar great Orianthi, Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer of Kiss, Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath, Dave Davies of The Kinks, Stephen Pearcy of Ratt and Simmons himself were originally booked for September.
Purchased tickets and vendor booths at the postponed Westgate event will automatically transfer to the new dates. Those unable to attend on the new dates are to email [email protected] for assistance.
