CrimeCon bringing investigators, victims, podcasters to Las Vegas | Attractions

CrimeCon is coming to Las Vegas, and it’s bringing investigators and victims together, along with podcasters and TV hosts, for all you true-crime obsessives.

Can’t get enough of The Yogurt Shop Murders? The 1991 killings of four teenage girls in Austin, Texas, that became a popular HBO docuseries? There’s a panel on that, including relatives of one of the victims. It’s followed by a “Yogurt Shop Murders: Meet & Greet” with those same panelists.

The convention, scheduled for Friday through Sunday at Caesars Palace, has secured some national heavyweights in the true-crime field, including retired Colorado Springs Police Department detective Joe Kenda and former FBI criminal profiler and “Mindhunter” author John Douglas.

Also look for appearances by Nancy Grace, Chris Hansen and Paula Zahn, as well as “Inside Edition” anchor Eva Pilgrim, NBC News correspondent Ellison Barber, Dateline NBC correspondent Josh Mankiewicz, ABC News correspondent John Quiñones, Court TV anchor Cody Thomas and “48 Hours” correspondents Erin Moriarty, Natalie Morales, Peter Van Sant and Anne-Marie Green.

Some of the programming will have a distinctly Las Vegas feel with panels featuring Holly Madison and “CSI” creator Anthony Zuiker, along with sessions dedicated to the Oct. 1, 2017, mass shooting, the deaths of Ted Binion and James “Buffalo Jim” Barrier and something called “Dumbest Criminals of Sin City: A True Crime Gameshow with Live, Laugh, Larceny.”

Admission ranges from $99 for a Sunday day pass to $1,899 for the Platinum VIP badge that’s currently sold out, but you can join the waitlist. For tickets and more information, see crimecon.com.
