“Big Red,” Evel Knievel’s fully restored Mack truck and trailer, paraded through Las Vegas on Saturday on its way to a new permanent home, the Evel Knievel Experience: An Interactive Museum of America’s Original Daredevil.
The new museum is set to open June 27 in the Arts District.
Knievel’s 63-foot truck arrived in Las Vegas after a 1,300-mile multi-state tour of “Big Red’s Run.” Originally part of his touring fleet, the truck has been restored by 90 craftsmen and will be a centerpiece artifact at the museum.
The truck made its way up the Strip, along with a couple of hundred motorcyclists. The tour also serves as a fundraiser for the USO.
