Former Box Elder County judge changes plea to guilty in child sex crimes

Thursday’s guilty plea came nearly a year after Christensen was originally charged.

(Fox 13) Former Box Elder County judge Kevin Christensen pleaded guilty to one charge of Enticing a Minor Using the Internet and two charges of Dealing in Materials Harmful to a Minor.

Ogden • A former Box Elder County judge who was charged with multiple child sex crimes has changed his plea to guilty, in an agreement with prosecutors.

Kevin Christensen appeared before a judge in Ogden on Thursday, and pleaded guilty to one charge of enticing a minor using the internet, and two charges in dealing in materials harmful to a minor — all third-degree felonies.

Thursday’s guilty plea came nearly a year after Christensen was originally charged with eight crimes. He pleaded not guilty to those in July.

As part of the plea agreement, Christensen will be allowed to serve his sentences for the charges concurrently. Sentencing is set for June 8.
