Easter Sunday is next week, April 5, and we’re sharing some special sunrise church services happening around Birmingham. Read on for what’s ahead and prepare to celebrate.
1. Vestavia Hills Methodist Church
All are welcome to join Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church on Easter Sunday for a morning of traditional and contemporary worship services.
There will also be a special sunrise service at 6:30AM.
After each sermon, families are invited to celebrate the risen Lord by placing flowers on the cross located on the front lawn. Flowers will be available, or you can bring your own.

2. Trinity United Methodist Church
Trinity United Methodist Church in Homewood is offering a full weekend of Easter services.
There will be lunch services Monday through Wednesday of Holy Week, and 6PM services Thursday through Saturday with beautiful music and a meaningful message.
You’ll want to wake up early for the Sunrise service on Easter Sunday because it takes place at the always beautiful Homewood Central Park.

3. Briarwood Presbyterian Church
Celebrate the risen Savior with morning Easter services at Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Birmingham.
The day begins with a Sunrise Service and traditional worship services in the sanctuary. The week leading up to Easter, you can also attend the Maundy Thursday service on April 2 at 7PM, and the Good Friday service at Noon on April 3.
4. Metropolitan Church
Gather your family and friends for a special Easter weekend at Metropolitan Church. The weekend kicks off with a Good Friday service on April 3, followed by a fun-filled gathering on Easter Sunday.
5. Asbury United Methodist Church
A beautiful Easter Sunday awaits you at Asbury United Methodist Church. The day begins with a sunrise service atop Prayer Mountain, followed by traditional and modern worship services and a family Easter egg hunt that all will enjoy.

6. Covenant Presbyterian Church
Join Covenant Presbyterian Church for their Easter sunrise service, followed by a pancake breakfast! Stay for their gathered worship sessions starting at 7:45AM.
7. Jefferson Memorial Funeral Homes and Gardens
Trussville Southside Baptist Church’s Pastor, Al Choquette, will bring the word at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Homes and Gardens’ Easter Sunrise Service.
8. Riverchase Country Club
This Easter Sunday, Riverchase area churches are joining hands and inviting everyone to gather for a sunrise service at the lake grounds next to the Riverchase Country Club.
