Springs Preserve announces reopening of butterfly habitat

The family-favorite butterfly habitat at the Springs Preserve is reopening for the spring season in April.

The outdoor exhibit will allow guests to walk (slowly and delicately) among several butterfly species from Saturday, April 4, through May 25. The habitat features blooming flowers, as butterflies free-fly between them to feed and lounge.

The habitat will be open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursdays through Mondays.

While spring is typically expected to heat up Las Vegas, temperature records across the Western U.S., including Nevada, have been shattered in the second half of March. In certain weather conditions, the exhibit will be closed to the public. Guests are asked to check with the Springs Preserve if the habitat is open before arriving on hotter days.

Entry to the butterfly exhibit is included with admission, which is $9.95 for adult Nevadans and $4.95 for children aged 3 to 17. Children 2 and under are free.
