Ballet Arkansas is making it easy to create unforgettable memories this year.
The local ballet company officially launched season ticket sales for its main stage season for 2025-2026, and it’s going to be nothing short of magical. With special events, behind-the-scenes experiences and interactive opportunities for families, the troupe is going all out for its 46th season of performances.
Timeless tales will be told and new productions will be remembered as the organization prepares to showcase stories such as “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” “Cinderella” and the highly anticipated “Giselle,” an iconic production making its Arkansas premiere.
“Experience a season filled with captivating stories, world premieres and innovative collaborations of art and music,” the Ballet Arkansas website states. “Join us for a cultural tour de force of unforgettable dance performances, complemented by an exciting lineup of in-studio programming, thought-provoking arts talks, special events and the launch of an interactive social media series.”
This season of storytelling will be strong, with four new talented dancers poised to join the troupe: McKenna Ulbrick, Liev Ewart, Claire Churchill and Allen Sizemore.

“The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”
Oct. 9-12 | Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts
The dance company’s acclaimed “Sleepy Hollow” returns this season, steeped in gothic splendor and haunting drama. An unforgettable experience for audiences of all ages, this dynamic reimagining of Washington Irving’s classic ghost story fuses striking choreography with rich historical flair. Enter a shadow-laced world where superstition lingers and every falling leaf whispers of danger. With stunning visuals, evocative movement and a stirring musical score, “Sleepy Hollow” redefines the American legend as a gripping, edge-of-your-seat ballet.
“The Nutcracker Spectacular”
Dec. 12-14 | Robinson Center
Ballet Arkansas’ “The Nutcracker Spectacular” is a highlight each season for a reason. It’s the largest and longest-running holiday production in Arkansas, with live music by the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra and a cast and crew of nearly 400. Presented by the professional dancers of Ballet Arkansas and a community cast of children and adults, the production is a seasonal favorite. Set to Tchaikovsky’s iconic score, the performance combines elegant choreography, enchanting music and vibrant costumes and sets. Audiences can also visit the Nutcracker Boutique for themed merchandise and souvenirs.
Land of the Sweets Nutcracker Tea
Dec. 13-14 | Robinson Center
Step into the whimsical world of the Nutcracker for an afternoon of tea during the troupe’s most popular event, The Land of the Sweets Nutcracker Tea. The afternoon includes children’s activities, a storybook reading and an exclusive performance by Clara, the Sugar Plum Fairy and other characters from the 46th anniversary production of “The Nutcracker Spectacular.” Designed for families, the Nutcracker Tea offers a festive and immersive holiday experience. (Tickets go on sale Sept. 3 at noon and typically sell out the same day.)
At Home Studio Series
Jan. 23-24 | Ballet Arkansas Studio Stage
Ballet Arkansas will present an inaugural mixed repertory program in its black box theater, offering audiences an intimate view of the company’s artistry. The immersive setting dissolves the barrier between performer and viewer, placing the audience just feet from the action. The program features bold contemporary works and reimagined classics designed to highlight every movement and nuance. With a curated menu of drinks and small plates available for purchase, the experience blends performance and atmosphere in a powerful, up-close format.
“Cinderella”
Feb. 20-22 | Robinson Center
A timeless fairytale gets a bold new twist as Ballet Arkansas brings the beloved story of “Cinderella” to life at the Robinson Center. This large-scale production features all-new sets and costumes, Prokofiev’s sweeping score and a cast that pairs the skill of professional dancers with the charm of local talent. Designed to delight audiences of all ages, the performance mixes heartfelt moments with playful humor, from the elegance of the royal ballroom to the comedic flair of the stepsisters. With vivid choreography, imaginative staging and themes of love and transformation, “Cinderella” promises a magical theater experience.
The Glass Slipper Tea: A “Cinderella” Soirée
Feb. 21-22 | Robinson Center
The Glass Slipper Tea: A “Cinderella” Soirée is Ballet Arkansas’ newest family-friendly event. Created as a companion to the company’s production of “Cinderella,” the event invites guests into a fairytale setting for an afternoon of teatime treats, themed activities, a storybook reading and a special performance by “Cinderella” and other characters from the stage. Designed for families and young audiences, the event offers a close-up experience with costumed performers, photo opportunities and moments of interactive fun.
Luminous – Turning Pointe Gala
March 14 | Robinson Center
Ballet Arkansas marks its 46th anniversary with its signature fundraiser, Turning Pointe Gala. The theme this season is “Luminous,” an ode to beauty and light which will support the company’s artists, programming and statewide education and outreach efforts. Icons: Trailblazers of American Dance
April 16-17 | Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts
The legacy and future of American dance with be highlighted this season with “Icons,” a mixed repertory program created in celebration of the nation’s 250th anniversary. The production features a dynamic lineup of masterworks and new Americana-inspired premieres that honor the choreographers who have transformed the art form. From the groundbreaking work of early innovators to bold new creations by contemporary artists, “Icons” captures the spirit and diversity of American movement. Set within the context of the country’s cultural evolution, the program reflects the voices and visions that continue to shape dance today. International concert pianist Fei-Fei Dong joins the production as a featured performer.
“Giselle”
April 18-19 | Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts
Ballet Arkansas closes its season with the Arkansas premiere of “Giselle,” one of the most celebrated works of the Romantic ballet era. Known for its emotional depth, haunting beauty and technical demands, the full-length production marks a milestone in classical performance for the region. Set to a sweeping score and featuring ethereal choreography, “Giselle” tells a timeless story of love, betrayal and redemption beyond the grave. The ballet blends supernatural themes with expressive movement, offering a powerful experience for audiences and performers alike. A community cast is featured in this landmark production.
