Moderate traffic is seen on the H-1 eastbound at the Kaahumanu overpass this morning.
The Zipper Lane was opened to all vehicles this morning after all eastbound lanes on the H-1 freeway before the H-2 off-ramp reopened early today after a crash involving an overturned vehicle.
Four left lanes were blocked before the ramp to H-2 at 4:45 a.m., according to the Hawaii Department of Transportation. At 5 a.m., the department said the Zipper Lane was open to all vehicles regardless of occupancy because of the crash.
The DOT reiterated at 5:20 a.m. that the lanes had reopened and said that the Zipper Lane would remain open to all vehicles this morning. No serious injuries from the crash were immediately reported.
Drivers should follow posted traffic controls and allow extra time for their commute.
