First-year Cape Elizabeth High coach Issiah Bachelder is one of the recently announced five 2026 inductees into the Portland High School Football Hall of Fame.
Bachelder (Class of 2017) quarterbacked Portland to 2015 and 2016 Class A North titles and holds the school’s career completion percentage record (54%). He will be joined by John Lappin (1916) who still holds school records for field goals in a career (16) and in a season (10); guard/linebacker Bob O’Connell (1977), a two-time All-State selection; two-way All-State lineman Mike Porter (1984), who was a key part of the 1982 state championship team and played at Air Force and the University of New Hampshire; and Koa Farnsworth (2019), the 2018 Class A North Lineman of the Year.
The induction dinner will be Wednesday, Nov. 25, at Keeley’s Banquet Center in Portland.
