A seasonal favorite is returning to the Springs Preserve this fall.
The Butterfly Habitat will be open to visitors again from Saturday, Oct. 3, through Monday, Nov. 23.
Visitors to the preserve can step inside the protected habitat to view a variety of vibrant species of the Americas and observe the butterflies as they fly freely and feed on the plants that sustain them.
It’s open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursdays through Mondays as temperatures allow. The last admission will be 15 minutes before closing. Our tip: Get there before its opens to avoid the lines; waits can be hourslong on busy weekends, or become a member and get early entry at 9:30 a.m.
Entry to the habitat is free with admission to the Springs Preserve, thanks to a donation from the Springs Preserve Foundation. Tickets are available at springspreserve.org, where general admission is $9.95 for Nevada adults, $4.95 for children 3 to 17 and free for those 2 and under.
