Barry Manilow halts show at Westgate

Barry Manilow halted his show at Westgate Las Vegas on Thursday night, about 40 minutes into the performance.

The “Mandy” superstar cut the show short because of technical malfunctions, his husband and manager, Garry Kief said Thursday night.

Kief said the show’s media server lost its time code, and the backup server wouldn’t come come online. This is the computer that connects and drives audio, video clips and projection.

“In essence, everything was out of synch,” Kief said.

There was no immediate word from Westgate as to when or if the show would be made up.

In December, the 83-year-old Manilow underwent surgery to remove half of his left lung after doctors detected a cancerous spot.

The pop legend returned to the stage in April, touring the U.K., and was back at Westgate on July 9.

On Aug. 4, Manilow called off a show in Lexington, Ky., rescheduling just 45 minutes before showtime, citing what he called “unforeseen circumstances” without further detail.
