The Idaho Murders: College Nightmare — Documentary legend Joe Berlinger brings us new, never-before-seen information in the case of four students who were viciously slaughtered in 2022 at the University of Idaho. I don’t know about you, but I’m starting to wonder about all these cops and courts who seem to be holding onto crucial evidence until filmmakers come asking for it. Who’s giving them career counseling, Maggie Haberman? (Netflix)

Wrath — A Brazilian fighter rises to the top of MMA despite suffering from amnesia that’s robbed him of any recollection of his history and background. As they say in both MMA and memory care, now ain’t that a kick in the head. (Netflix)

The Bombing of Pan Am 103 — The infamous Lockerbie tragedy is revisited in a docuseries that probes deeply into both the incident itself and the sweeping manhunt the Scottish police and the FBI conducted in its aftermath. Because that’s how we thought you had to respond to a terrorist attack before we knew you could just cancel the midterms. (Netflix)

Streaming Friday, July 31:

Batman: Caped Crusader — The unexpectedly great animated reimagining of Batsy’s early days goes to a second season, with more inventive race and gender swapping to piss off the review bombers. This time, it’s Mad Hatter who’s a chick, and can you believe there are people who are actually upset about that? I mean, it’s not like they’re trying to pretend Alfred wasn’t Greek or something. Nightborn — Finnish horror director Hanna Bergholm (Hatching) makes her English-language debut with a story about a new mom who begins to fear that her infant is an inhuman monster. The father is played by Rupert Grint, who has a certain amount of experience in helping bring things into the world that seemed innocent but turn out to be vessels of degradation and despair. Snoopy Presents: There’s No Place Like Home, Snoopy — The doghouse that has gone to the Moon and back gets lost in a yard sale, sending Charlie Brown and his worried pooch hither and yon to retrieve it. In an amusing bit of comic relief, Snoopy bites Lucy’s face off for persisting in calling him “homeless” instead of “unhoused.” (Apple TV)

Streaming Sunday, Aug. 2:

Lioness — Having rescued a U.S. representative from a south-of-the-border drug cartel, the CIA program for female undercover agents faces another difficult assignment in Season 3. This time, they have to help convince the world every member of Congress is still alive. (Paramount+)

Futurama — The (can you believe it?) 14th season explores such plotlines as the re-emergence of Zoidberg’s long-lost love. It was touch and go for a while there: We thought we’d never be seeing her again when it looked like Red Lobster was going belly-up. (Hulu)
