Three more Maui teenagers were arrested Tuesday in connection with a July 17 riot at the Kaanapali Alii vacation residences in Lahaina where visitors from California were allegedly assaulted.
A total of six teenagers have been arrested by Maui Police Department detectives in connection with the incident.
On Tuesday, MPD detectives arrested:
>> A 14-year-old Lahaina male on suspicion of riot and assault in the third degree;
>> A 14-year-old Lahaina female on suspicion of riot; and
>> A 17-year-old Lahaina female on suspicion of riot.

On Monday, MPD detectives arrested:
>> A 14-year-old Lahaina boy on suspicion of riot and second-degree assault;
>> A 16-year-old Wailuku boy on suspicion of riot and second-degree assault; and
>> A 16-year-old Lahaina boy on suspicion of riot.
After they were booked, the teenagers were released to the custody of their parents.
“The investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue to gather and review additional information,” MPD said in a statement.
The assaults and riot occurred on July 17 and involved about 30 people at the pool area of the resort at 50 Nohea Kai Drive, police said. Officers arrived at the scene at about 10:10 p.m. and found 10 to 15 people gathered near the pool area, “several of whom had visible injuries,” according to a previous statement from MPD.
A 20-year-old Makawao man was arrested earlier on suspicion of second-degree assault. He was later released pending investigation.
