Famed rock band, Las Vegas Strip venue in pop-up partnership

AC/DC is about to power up, pop-up style, at Hard Rock Cafe on the Strip.

The vaunted hard-rock band is opening an official AC/DC PWR/UP Pop Up as the PWR/UP Tour plays Allegiant Stadium on Aug. 1.

The fan activation runs 11 a.m.-9 p.m. July 31, and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Aug. 1. The cafe just across from Park MGM on the Strip is free and open to all ages.

The pop-up is to feature displays such as guitar great Angus Young’s stageworn schoolboy uniform. Also in the collection: Band merchandise, photo ops and giveaways. The first 200 attendees each day receive a poster not on sale to the general public.

The closest public parking is at the Showcase Mall garage just north of the rock club.

Officials refer to the North American tour as the band’s “final lap,” with the pop-up “giving fans a dedicated place to gather, get PWRD/UP, and celebrate one of the most acclaimed and enduring live bands in rock and roll.”
