There goes the neighborhood — tavern.
There being Oval Park Drive in Downtown Summerlin, where Finney’s Crafthouse, a group of 16 neighborhood taverns from Central and Southern California, is set to open its first restaurant beyond its home state in September.
Brothers Greg and Brad Finefrock own and operate the group, having founded the restaurant in 2016. Finney’s is named for the “Finney brothers,” a nickname from high school for the siblings, whose last name is pronounced “finney-frock.” The Downtown Summerlin location replaces Wolfgang Puck Players Locker, which closed in July 2023.
“Las Vegas has one of the most passionate sports cities with some of the best fans in the country, and we can’t wait to be part of it,” Greg Finefrock said in a Thursday announcement of the debut.
Food and drink highlights
The new Finney’s leans into neighborhood sports viewing with 20 high-definition televisions across the bar, dining room and terrace, and with a menu of more than 50 approachable items, many ideal for game-day sharing.
Look for buffalo cauliflower tossed in yuzu-blue cheese sauce and garlic aïoli, crisp coconut shrimp, blackened shrimp tacos, crisp or grilled mahi mahi tacos finished with avocado and firecracker aïoli, Gary’s pepperoni pizza with cupped pepperoni, a tri-tip sandwich, and a burger built from Japanese wagyu ribeye, bacon, pepper jack, crisp onion, steak sauce and mustard aïoli.
The beverage program incorporates 30 rotating craft beers on tap from local and regional breweries and 18 signature craft cocktails, including a Raspberry Smash with Tito’s vodka, prosecco, lemon, raspberries and sugar; the Guava Margarita with Pueblo Viejo silver tequila, guava, agave and a Tajín rim; and Meg’s Margarita Flight featuring strawberry, guava, blood orange and watermelon margaritas.
Beverages also run to zero-proof options like a Smoke & Honey with citrus, pineapple and ginger and the Dirty Soda Diet Coke with vanilla cream, coconut and lime.
Hours, design, 2nd spot
Finney’s, 10955 Oval Park Drive, encompasses about 5,400 square feet inside, 2,400 square feet outside (dog friendly) and seats about 230. Reclaimed wood, century-old brick and antique copper accents help compose the design of the space.
A second local Finney’s is being constructed at 6563 Las Vegas Blvd. South, in Town Square. A Finney’s representative said this restaurant was planned to open by late 2026. Visit finneyscrafthouse.com or follow @finneyscrafthouse on social media.
