A man armed with a handgun allegedly robbed a convenience store in Kalihi early this morning.
The robbery occurred about 1:24 a.m. at a convenience store in the Kalihi area, according to the Honolulu Police Department.
Police said the suspect brandished a handgun, demanded property from the store and fled the scene on a black moped.
No injuries were reported.
Witnesses described the suspect as a Black man in his 30s, about 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches tall with a slim build. He was wearing a black long-sleeve sweater with a purple “34” on the back, gray pants, white shoes, white headphones and a black bandana around his neck.
The case is being investigated as first-degree robbery.
