No forgetting who is responsible for the work of ICE

We mourn Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero who was killed by an ICE agent in Biddeford. We grieve with Mr. Guerrero’s family; they lost a loving father and husband.

We are sorry that the ICE agent lacked the intelligence and strength to understand and resist immoral and illegal orders, and whose weakness will forever burden his soul with guilt and sleeplessness.

We will remember President Donald Trump, Secretary of Homeland Security Markwayne Mullin, Gregory Bovino, former commander-at-large of the Border Patrol, and David Venturella, acting director of United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement — who all, like Herod (also remembered for his colossal construction projects), knew full well that their orders would lead to the death of innocent people whose only crimes are to hope and to work.
