City crews are responding this morning to a 12-inch water main break on a critical stretch of Ala Moana Boulevard in downtown.
The break occurred on Ala Moana between Richards and Punchbowl streets near the Federal Building, said the Honolulu Board of Water Supply, and is impacting about 14 services.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible, and to expect delays.
The far left, eastbound lane along that section of Ala Moana is closed, according to an HNL alert sent at about 6 a.m. today.
