Kapiolani Boulevard was closed in all directions between Date Street and Waiaka Road after a critical motorcycle crash this afternoon.
A motorcyclist in his 50s was in critical condition after colliding with a vehicle on Kapiolani Boulevard in Moiliili this afternoon.
Police closed Kapiolani in all directions between Date Street and Waiaka Road as emergency crews responded.
Honolulu Emergency Medical Services said personnel responded to Kapiolani near Mahiai Street at 3:15 p.m. and treated the motorcyclist who suffered life-threatening injuries. He was taken to an emergency room in critical condition.
EMS said he was wearing a helmet.
The Honolulu Police Department advises motorists to avoid the area if possible.
