Mentalist couple James Harrington and Mariana Liani of “Mind2Mind” are out of the country (but still in our heads) for a few days this week. That absence leaves some open dates in their residency at Azul Lounge at Fontainebleau Las Vegas.
So, Strip parlour performance master The Magician, the show’s co-producer, and Vegas magic vet Mark Bennick have cooked up “Close Up Roulette: A Night of Pure Deception” at 7 p.m. Friday.
The shows stars a quartet of magicians, rotating at tables set around the lounge. They will deliver 15-minute, close-up performances. At the end, guests will have experienced four totally unique styles of magic (tickets and intel at tickets.mind2mind.live).
The performers:
— Mervant, an internationally recognized magician, mentalist and musical storyteller best known for his standout appearances on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.”
— Patton Guillen is an award-winning Las Vegas magician and one of the world’s leading sleight-of-hand artists. At 25, he has performed and toured internationally, delivering interactive magic for corporate events, luxury private gatherings and major productions. Patton is the pre-show magician before “Mind2Mind.”
— Eric Masters, a mentalist, magician and creative consultant who has performed internationally for nearly 25 years.
— Reed Nussbaum, a generational sleight-of-hand artist. His award-winning mix of magic and comedy is consistently enlisted for celebrity bachelor parties, Fortune 500 companies and similar events.
And in the interim, Harrington and Liani are still in play on “America’s Got Talent,” in its 21st season on NBC. The couple have advanced past last month’s auditions to the live telecasts, with their next appearance to be announced. The live round kicks off Aug. 18.
