The long-awaited long weekend is finally here. It’s Memorial Day weekend and Orlando is boasting plenty to do: live music festivals, intimate shows, cultural celebrations, tasting events and plenty more to fill your holiday weekend around town.

Blone Noble at Panic! Night
9 p.m.
Friday, May 22
Iron Cow, 2438 E. Robinson St., Orlando
Dance with new-wave crooner Blone Noble and his synthesized torch songs at the resurgent Panic! night Friday in the Milk District. This is a crowd hungry to get down on the dancefloor, soundtracked by Blone Noble, opener Ortrotasce and the resident DJs. Move your body to  these synthy confessions of a mask.

Orlando Downtown Carnival
Various times
Friday-Sunday, May 22-24
Throughout downtown Orlando
The annual Orlando Downtown Carnival is a three-day-long celebration of Caribbean culture through food, live music and connection. Vibrant cultural celebrations like this are ever more crucial in a state whose government is wrongheadedly obsessed with stamping out anything they might label DEI-related. Also: fun as hell.

Hurricane Party
Noon
Saturday, May 23
West End Trading Co., 202 S Sanford Ave., Sanford

Sanford’s summer-heralding and fate-tempting Hurricane Party punk fest is back for another raucous round this long weekend. The lineup is one of the strongest in recent memories, featuring ska and punk malcontents like Against All Authority, Mustard Plug, The Toasters, The Supervillains, and even resurgent bands Skif Dank and The Spitvalves.

Honey tasting at Leu Gardens
1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 23
Harry P. Leu Gardens, 1920 N. Forest Ave., Orlando
Leu Gardens invites guests to enjoy the sweetness nature has to offer at a honey tasting class. Attendees can sample more than 20 different types of honey, ranging from cranberry honey made in Wisconsin to sugar gum honey from Kangaroo Island, Australia, to local varieties.

Buko Boys at My Sister’s House
7 p.m. Saturday, May 23
My Sister’s House, 10746 E. Colonial Drive, Orlando
Miami’s Buko Boys are breezing into Orlando with a sun-soaked set Saturday. The band honed their sound performing on the streaming platform Twitch, where they would jam, joke and share their close-knit personalities. The Buko Boys are bringing that same slacker charm to My Sister’s House at Boardwalk Bowl, alongside Catnap, Uber Crunch and Los Bajas.

Free Lou Benefit Show at Drunken Monkey
7 p.m. Saturday, May 23
Drunken Monkey, 444 N. Bumby Ave., Orlando
Hosted by Confessedlover, a benefit show for Uncle Lou is being held at Drunken Monkey. On top of Confessedlover, the show features other homegrown alt-pop sirens Terradame, Alienobserver and KT Kink. All proceeds from the show will go towards Lou’s legal defense fund. Free to attend, but donations are encouraged.

Sidepiece at Orlando Warehouse
9 p.m. Saturday, May 23
Orlando Warehouse at Orlando Amphitheater, 4603 W. Colonial Drive, Orlando
House heatseekers Sidepiece are on the way back to Orlando this week, as a headliner this time for the Warehouse Series instead of just part of the EDC legion. The Grammy-nominated duo are here as part of their (ahem) Horny House tour. A seasonally hot night will definitely be even hotter when these two hit the Warehouse.

Next Door Live!
Noon Sunday, May 24
Audubon Park Garden District
Local music rings out over Audubon Park (in the daylight for once!) this long weekend as Next Door Live transforms the neighborhood into an all-day celebration of creativity and community. The lineup features 11 local musicians taking over various shops, stops and venues (ad hoc and not) throughout the day, all within walking distance along Corrine Drive. Free to attend.

“Free Uncle Lou” benefit show at Will’s Pub
8 p.m. Sunday, May 24
Will’s Pub, 1042 N. Mills Ave., Orlando
Hosted by Montgomery Drive, another benefit show for Uncle Lou is being held at Will’s Pub. Sweet Cambodia joins the lineup with Miami Spanish rockers Viloria and local folk rockers Foxlair. All proceeds from the show will go to benefit Uncle Lou.

Spielberg tribute exhibit at Universal Orlando
May 23-Aug. 10
Universal Studios
Universal Studios’ Spielberg Summer Blockbusters limited-time exhibit opens this Saturday and runs through August. The exhibit allows fans to explore props and behind-the-scenes stories from some of Steven Spielberg’s most iconic movies, including the upcoming film Disclosure Day, which releases June 12. On top of the exhibit, Spielberg fans will have the chance to participate in Jaws photo-ops, as well as “specialty bites and drinks,” according to a release. The park will also release a new exclusive merch collection “that includes limited release apparel, accessories and more.”
