El Dorado Cantina restaurant closes Tivoli Village location

April is the cruelest month for Las Vegas restaurants in 2026.

El Dorado Cantina, which debuted in January 2020 in Tivoli Village near Summerlin, has closed, according to Lyman Lambson, director of operations.

“El Dorado Cantina has made the difficult decision to close its Tivoli Village restaurant, effective immediately,” Lambson said in a statement for Neon. “This outcome follows extensive efforts to reach a mutually beneficial agreement with the property’s landlord; however, despite negotiations, an agreement could not be achieved, and the team was ultimately left with no alternative but to vacate the space.”

The restaurant also announced the closing through its mailing list.

“We are incredibly grateful for everyone who supported us at Tivoli Village over the years,” the announcement reads. “Thank you for being part of that location’s story and for continuing to support El Dorado Cantina.”

More closings

The El Dorado Cantina news follows the closings this month of a longtime breakfast and lunch spot after 28 years and an omelet house after a decade.

April has also seen a popular neighborhood Italian in Henderson disclose it was selling and closing after almost 30 years, and a Strip gaming giant reveal that its 33-year-old buffet at one property and its 28-year-old flagship French restaurant at another hotel-casino would be closing this year.

El Dorado Cantina on Sammy Davis Jr. Drive near the Strip remains open, and so do locations of The Cantina, a sibling restaurant, in the southwest and in Centennial Hills. The Cantina on East Craig Road in North Las Vegas is under construction, with an estimated debut in the fourth quarter of this year.
