Recently a company in France was paid $1 billion to stop wind turbine projects they had begun in the U.S. Think about it, a billion dollars so we can burn more fossil fuels, a billion dollars so we can use more coal and make the warming and self-destruction occur more rapidly, a billion dollars that could be used for health care for those in need, a billion dollars that could be used for education, a billion dollars to take care of our national parks.
This summer, when temperatures sizzle and water is scarce, ask yourself what you can do so that our political leaders (state and federal) promote our future instead of destroying it.
