These Maine basketball players stood out during Friday’s regional finals

Julianna Allen, Mt. Ararat girls: Scored 15 points for the Eagles in their 33-26 loss to Hampden Academy in A North final.

Nolan Ames, Camden Hills boys: Scored 21 points, including 14-of-18 shooting from the free-throw line, and had 11 assists, eight rebounds, four steals and a block as the Windjammers took down Brunswick 60-48 in the A North championship.

Brady Atwater, Gardiner boys: Scored 27 points, grabbed four rebounds and had four assists to help the Tigers secure their first regional title since 2012 with a 80-71 win over rival Cony in the B North final.

Carter Brathwaite, Cony boys: The freshman dropped in a game-high 32 points, including 18 in the second quarter, and had six rebounds and six assists for the Rams in their B North title game loss to Gardiner.

Olivia Breen, Oceanside girls: Finished with 15 points to go along with six assists and six rebounds as the Mariners earned a spot in the state title game with a 68-51 victory over Gray-New Gloucester in the B South final.

Ian Lawrence, Yarmouth boys: Scored 18 points and grabbed six rebounds for the No. 4 Clippers in their 63-58 victory over Medomak Valley in the B South final.

Adam Maxwell, Yarmouth boys: Shot 7 of 8 from the field and scored 18 points for the Clippers in their 63-58 B South title game win over Medomak Valley.

Owen McGrath, Brunswick boys: Scored 19 points and pulled down eight rebounds for the Dragons in their A North title game loss to Camden Hills.

Mason Nguyen, Medomak Valley boys: Poured in a game-high 30 points and helped the Panthers almost rally to overcome Yarmouth in the B South title game.

Maddie Provost, Lawrence girls: Put up 27 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out seven assists while helping the Bulldogs claim the B North title with a 65-53 win over Gardiner.

Aubrey Shaw, Hampden girls: Tied for the team-high with 10 points and grabbed eight rebounds and had two steals in the Broncos’ 33-26 win over Mt. Ararat in a low-scoring A North title game.

Ashley Shores, Lawrence girls: Paced the Bulldogs with 27 points on 10 of 12 shooting from the field and had seven assists and five rebounds in a 65-53 victory over Gardiner in the B North final.

Abby Stackpole, Oceanside girls: Scored a team-best 20 points and made a team-high four 3-pointers to help the Mariners set a B South tournament record for treys in a game in their 68-51 win Gray-New Gloucester in the regional final.

Abbey Steele, Gray-New Gloucester girls: Put up a game-high 33 points, shooting 12 of 21 from the field and 6 of 10 from 3-point range) in the Patriots’ loss to Oceanside in the B South final.
