Two men were taken to a hospital in serious condition after a motor vehicle crash involving pedestrians in Waikiki this afternoon.
Honolulu Emergency Medical Services said paramedics responded with three ambulances at 4:18 p.m. after the crash on Kalakaua Avenue. A witness reported that the crash was at the Sheraton Waikiki Beach Resort drop-off area.
EMS said the vehicle driver, a 68-year-old man, was treated by paramedics for traumatic injuries to his extremities and taken to a hospital in serious condition. A 60-year-old male pedestrian was also treated for multiple traumatic injuries and taken by a second ambulance in serious condition to a hospital.
Two women pedestrians, ages 52 and 27, were evaluated by paramedics and declined to be taken to a hospital, EMS said.
