As construction continues on White Stadium in Franklin Park, the future home of the NWSL’s Boston Legacy FC, the club will play the majority of its 2026 season at Gillette Stadium.
But due to scheduling demands brought on by the 2026 men’s World Cup, the team will also play a select number of games at Centreville Bank Stadium in Pawtucket, R.I., the team announced Friday.
The team does not yet know which or how many games will be played at each venue.
The Legacy’s home opener is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. on March 14, 2026, at Gillette Stadium, and venue assignments for the remaining 29 games will be made when the league releases the full schedule.
Gillette Stadium will host seven World Cup games between June 13 and June 26, and the NWSL will take a break from regular-season play in June through World Cup group play and the first round of the knockout stage.
“As we expand across two exceptional venues, we see this as an opportunity to connect with even more soccer fans across the region,” Legacy president Jennifer van Dijk said in a release.
Centreville Bank Stadium is a soccer-specific venue and the home of Rhode Island FC, which competes in the USL Championship. It has a capacity of 10,500, approximately the same size as White Stadium will be once renovations are complete.
“We are thrilled to welcome Boston Legacy FC to our award-winning stadium,” Centreville Bank Stadium general manager Paul Byrne said in a release. “Our state-of-the-art venue is eager to host the team as they compete on the national stage. We look forward to continuing our proven track record of providing a best-in-class experience for players and fans.”
Legacy season ticket holders who are unable to attend matches at Centreville Bank Stadium will be able to exchange those tickets for additional seats at select home matches played at Gillette Stadium and Centreville Bank Stadium, or they can bank the value of their tickets for additional ticket purchases or upgraded ticket options for the 2026 regular season.
