Lauber’s souble-double leads Somerville past Immaculata – Girls basketball recap

Kaylee Lauber finished with 31 points and 10 rebounds to lead Somerville to a 52-43 win over Immaculata.

Somerville (2-0) took control early on both sides of the ball, led by Lauber.

The senior scored her 1,000th point on a basket in the second quarter.

Lauber helped Somerville put the game away late, knocking down 11 of her final 12 free throws and 20 in total.

Immaculata (0-2) took a 17-9 lead after the first quarter but Somerville answered with a 17-5 second.

It was a tight game into the fourth quarter but Lauber and Somerville were able to close it out.
