A motor vehicle crash involving two vehicles and a building left one dead and several others injured Saturday afternoon in Lewiston.
At approximately 1:10 p.m., Lewiston Police responded to a crash on Lisbon Street caused by two vehicles colliding due to an improper lane change, according to a release from the Lewiston Police Department.
Following the initial collision, a Ford F-150, operated by Lawrence Williams of Minot, struck a utility pole. A Jeep Wrangler, operated by Ronald Potvin of Lisbon, veered off the road and struck a local business, JD Cuts Hair Salon, at 1270 Lisbon St.
Williams, 70, was dead when emergency personnel arrived, according to police.
Several individuals inside the salon sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to local hospitals.
Police shut down Lisbon Street between Scribner Boulevard and Pleasant Street while investigators reconstructed the accident, and have since reopened the road.
