The popular reality series Ink Master returns for season 17 with a special three-episode premiere on Paramount+ Wednesday, Oct. 29.
Hosted by Good Charlotte’s lead vocalist, Joel Madden, the upcoming season of the popular series follows fifteen artists as they work to earn their place in the competition and make their mark.

To kick off season 17, Madden introduces viewers to the fifteen hopefuls vying for a chance to continue in the competition and represent their hometowns. From there, the artists will replicate animals from their hometown in episode two before they are tasked with painting with smoke in the season’s first-ever team flash challenge.

According to a Paramount+ press release, this season of Ink Master follows fifteen new artists as they compete as hometown heroes “vying for a $250,000 prize in the ultimate tattoo competition, and for the opportunity to put their hometowns on the map.”
With reputations and regional pride on the line, contestants will “put their skills to the test in a series of epic, high-stakes challenges, proving their artistry and versatility to impress the judges.”
Joining Madden this season are returning judges including three-time Ink Master champion DJ Tambe, Ryan Ashley, the first female tattoo artists to win the competition and Nikko Hurtado, one of the world’s best color-realism artists.
