Trick or Treating hours in the village of Glenview are 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31.
Abt Electronics will hold trick or treating from 4 to 5 p.m. at the store, 1200 Milwaukee Ave., Glenview.
Bring your carved jack o’lantern to the Pumpkin Smash N’ Bash on Saturday, Nov, 1, from 1 to 2 pm at Flick Park, 3600 Glenview Road, Glenview. Remove any candles, glow sticks and decorations. Non-carved pumpkins will not be accepted. In the case of bad weather, visit glenviewparks.org for event availability.
Northbrook
Trick or Treating hours in the village of Northbrook on Friday, October 31 are from 4 to 8 p.m.
Northbrook residents who want to alert trick-or-treaters they’ll be handing out goodies — or not participating in the candy giveaway — can download and print one of the village’s signs to display on your front door. Click here to download a Halloween Sign or pick one up for free at Village Hall, 1225 Cedar Lane, Northbrook.
The village will also hold a Pumpkin Smash event on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Northbrook Court, in the northeast parking lot near Neiman Marcus. Attendees can test their aim with the pumpkin target toss, snap a festive photo and enter the pumpkin seed guessing contest for a chance to win a prize. Costumes are encouraged.
The village noted painted pumpkins can be composted, but all decorations must be removed, including candles, yarn, stickers, googly eyes, plastic ears, and non-biodegradable materials.
