The victim in a Portsmouth shooting that happened in early October has died from her injuries, police said.
She was identified Monday night as Latesha Nicole Pugh, 50.
The Oct. 8 shooting took place in the 300 block of Choate Street, which is off Rodman Avenue, near Interstate 264.
Initially, the suspect, Lamont Eugene Stevenson, was charged with attempted second-degree murder, aggravated malicious wounding, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, shooting within a building, shooting in commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Stevenson’s charges have been upgraded to aggravated murder committed during the commission of a robbery resulting in death, use of a firearm in the commission of a robbery, obstruction of justice and unlawfully obstructing a call to emergency services.
Police did not share any additional information.
