A popular pizzeria chain operating in five states has closed its Birmingham location.
Pies & Pints, at 125 20th Street South, announced it has closed on social media.
“To our Birmingham, AL community – THANK YOU,” a post on Facebook from the restaurant’s official account reads.
“Thanks for celebrating with us, laughing with us, and letting us be your favorite local place to grab a slice and a beer. As of today (10/20), our doors will remain closed. If you’re ever down in Montgomery, we’d love to see you at our location there.”
The post goes on to urge customers to “shop and dine at local businesses whenever you can, it’s a tough time for everyone in this industry right now.”
Pies & Pints opened in 2016 in Station 121, offering pizza, sandwiches and salads along with 36 taps.
The Montgomery location remains the only Alabama restaurant in the Ohio-based chain, which operates in its home state as well as Kentucky, Indiana and West Virginia.
