Brian Redd names three new deputy chiefs and a communications director.
(Chris Samuels | The Salt Lake Tribune) Salt Lake City Police Chief Brian has appointed a new executive leadership team.
After being sworn in as Salt Lake City’s new police chief in March, Brian Redd is replacing several key figures in his department.
Deputy Chief Victor Siebeneck, Deputy Chief Andrew Wright and communications director Brent Weisberg will be departing their roles in the department.
In their place, the following people will be part of the executive leadership team:
• Alex Garcia, deputy chief.
• Brandon Christiansen, deputy chief.
• Bill Manzanares, deputy chief.
• Glen Mills, communications director.
Manzanares is to assume his position immediately; the others will do so by early August.
“I would like to thank Deputy Chief Victor Siebeneck, Deputy Chief Wright and Director Weisberg for all they have done for the department,” Redd said in an email about the staffing shift.
