We invite everyone to the thirty-fifth MACEDONIAN FESTIVAL, our annual celebration of the rich heritage of Buffalo’s Macedonian Community. This event will be held July 11th, 12th and 13th on the grounds of Sts. Cyril & Methody Macedonian Orthodox Church, 4785 Lake Avenue, Blasdell. The Festival will feature traditional Macedonian Foods, delicious ethnic desserts, live Macedonian music, and Macedonian Folk Dance Performances. Come experience an ancient culture from the other side of the world, right here in WNY!
Our parishioners will guide our guests through Macedonian cultural displays, our beautiful Orthodox Church, and invite them to enjoy ethnic foods such as Macedonian style “Open Pit” roasted lamb, kebobs, shish-kebabs, chicken, and stuffed cabbage rolls. Our beer and wine tent will also feature Macedonian beer and wines. To complete your Macedonian Festival experience, be sure to enjoy homemade baklava and many other Macedonian pastries, cookies and specialties.
The Festival is open to the public, all are welcome. Parking is available on the church grounds. Hours are from 4pm to midnight on Friday, July 11th, noon to midnight on Saturday, July 12th, noon to 9pm on Sunday, July 13th. The Macedonian Festival is a fun event the entire family will enjoy. It’s a great opportunity to experience the sights, sounds and tastes of another culture. Come hungry, come thirsty, grab your dancing shoes and learn to dance “Macedonian Style”.
